Last night I was so tired that I fell asleep before The Boy came up to bed. I vaguely remember him joining me, and when I woke up this morning and asked when he had come to bed, he said it was maybe a half hour after I headed upstairs. I must have been pretty sleepy to fall asleep that fast!
He set the alarm for a little later this morning than normal, so I got to sleep in a bit – which was needed and appreciated. I went downstairs to help The Boy pack his lunch and to send him off to work in the rain, then put together a quick and light breakfast for myself.
In a bowl I combined 1/2 cup of Grape Nuts with a Kashi cookie and some almond butter, and ate it with skim milk. It was a simple and satisfying breakfast, full of lots of crunch.
The day was gray, damp, and chilly – it looks like our lovely weather is slowly leaving. Work kept me really busy all day, and I headed home to The Boy, our cats, and dinner. Unfortunately, my tummy wasn’t feeling well, so I ended up snacking instead, having a mini quesadilla, toast, and a bit of ice cream throughout the evening while cuddling with Enzo.
It was my brother’s birthday, so after I had some food, I gave him a call to wish him a happy birthday and to hear about his day. He told me some funny stories and updated me on life at home and what he has been up to. It was a really fun conversation and I was all smiles when I got off the phone.
Now, I’m getting ready to wrap up the evening, play some Final Fantasy IV (The Boy is playing XII), and head to bed to rest for tomorrow. I hope all of you had a great day!
