This weekend has gotten off to a great start so far! Last night I met The Boy at the ballpark for a great game. It was the first time I’d seen The Boy since he left for a business trip on Sunday, and I was excited!
The game actually went a bit longer than we thought it would, and since we stayed for the post-game fireworks, we didn’t end up getting home until one. We actually ended up sleeping in this morning because we didn’t make it into bed before two, and by then we were wiped. Out.
I actually really enjoyed sleeping in this morning, and woke up super hungry! I had an egg and cheese sandwich for brunch before making my way to the gym for an intense hour-plus workout.

My workout consisted of nearly an hour of weight-lifting, doing New Rules of Lifting for Women workout 3B. I followed my lifting workout with some cardio, hopping onto an elliptical for about ten minutes. I wrapped up my workout with lots of water and stretching before heading home for a snack and a shower.
I was HANGRY when it came time for dinner, scarfing a fajita burrito before doing some baking – something I have been itching to do all week.
What, exactly, did I bake?
Chocolate chip cookies. I made them in part, because I wanted some chewy, chocolatey goodness, but also because I wanted to share with friends! They turned out to be amazing, and I enjoyed one fresh from the oven on top of some vanilla bean ice cream – YUM!
This weekend has definitely gotten off to a GREAT start, and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
