I can’t believe the response I got on my last post! Y’all are awesome, and your comments gave me a lot to consider and think about – especially concerning emotions and maturity, something I hadn’t considered before. I will definitely be doing more posts like that in the future!
So, this morning I woke up with a stuffy, runny nose, and achey shoulders. I assumed that I was achey from my weight workout yesterday, and that my nose was runny from allergies or a slight cold. I was wide awake and full of energy, so I decided to head to the gym for a 30 minute interval workout on the elliptical. I ended up doing one of the pre-programmed workouts on the machine while watching “I am Number Four” in their cardio room. I only got about a half hour into the movie and am very intrigued to see more – I see a Redbox rental in my future!
When I got back from my workout I wasn’t very hungry, but knew I had to eat. I took a page from Kath's book and made overnight oats for breakfast so they would be ready for me post-workout.
I topped it with some almond butter sauce I made by mixing almond butter with some milk, and some GoLean cereal. It was super filling and really good – I haven’t had overnight oats in a while.
It wasn’t until midway through my day that I realized that my runny, stuffy nose wasn’t allergies: I am getting (or am) sick. By the end of my day I was stuffed up with a sore throat and just wanted to curl up and read. After enjoying a delicious dinner made by The Boy, I curled up on the couch with my iPhone to play Words With Friends and watch TV.
I think I am going to head up to bed. I really hope I feel better in the morning!
