unday evening, The Boy and I did a little household rearranging in preparation for moving our guest room. Once we finished with that, we decided to stretch our legs a bit - only instead of going for a run, we decided to take a walk through the city and into downtown. It was just after seven in the evening and the light was perfect for pictures, so we took our dSLR along with us to snap some photos along the way.
We took lots of pictures of the bridges going into Ohio from Kentucky, as well as plants, architecture, and fun shots of the Cincinnati skyline.
Our walk took us to Fountain Square in the heart of downtown, where we dropped into Graeter's for ice cream sundaes. Mine was cookie dough chip ice cream smothered in hot fudge, all atop a deliciously chewy brownie. It definitely hit the spot and made for a good break in our long walk.
Eventually, though, we had to turn back and head home. The sky was growing dark and lightning was starting to flicker in the sky. We were both thrilled to walk through the new Smale park along the banks of the river, where water features are set up throughout, and I loved this picture I snapped of the waning sunlight.
It was fun to get out, stretch my legs, and enjoy some tasty ice cream last night.
How did you wrap up your weekend?
